I've been looking for a good stylist in new york for quite awhile now, trying places in Chelsea, meatpacking and east villlege and this place is my fav. Dmitry is the head stylist and owner of the salon.
He's been in the biz for 15 years and is a bargain for the price he charges. The atmosphere is really great - He has very nice assistants and he always offers his clients a drink.it. She was focused, creative and lovely. My hair is incredible.
Also, the salon was great. Comfortable and laid back and very diverse. Very friendly and ready to do anything that made my visit nicer. I will be going back.

I have searched the city for years looking for a stylist that could give my thick, wavy hair the perfect long layers. After visiting many of the "top" salons and paying much higher prices elsewhere,
I finally found my match with Mala at Dima Salon. She is highly professional, always listens carefully to what I want and then offers suggestions so I never walk out with exactly the same cut twice.
The cash-only tip policy is a mild nuisance, but many small salons operate this way. I have also had some minor issues with the front desk when the owner is not there. This salon does not offer a "spa" experience,
so if you are expecting to be served cocktails, this isn't the place. However, I always feel relaxed knowing I will get a great cut here. Mala has been cutting my hair for over a year now and I will keep going back-
I would choose a great haircut over a glass of wine any day

I had a good hair cut from Lisa a few years ago and this time went to her to fix a really bad cut I had at a nearby salon. Lisa really took the time to get it looking good again in spite of how my hair had been chopped. Next time I will go to her in the first place. Thank you Lisa.

I only went in for a bang trim, but a good bang trim is hard to find. I'm one of those girls with long hair, who gets squeamish at the sight of scissors.
I don't care how good a hair cut is . . . if the front is messed up, you're hosed. I walked in and Dmitriy did his thing. He made me feel comfortable and made my hair look great.
He was the kind of stylist that isn't going to let you leave the salon without looking and feeling beautiful. I'd definitely go back.

They do an amazing job. For guys, your hair never has that awkward, just-cut look...it looks good from the day you get it cut and grows out great. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is hip and cool. Both Lisa and Dmitriy are well-trained professionals who do a fantastic job.
